"Il Poggio"
is located on a hill at around 300 meters slm, on the base
of the Taburno Mountain, absorbed in a green and
luxuriant country of vineyards exposed southeast
that is such a sight…that it takes your breath away…
The vineyards are raised back to the sun rays,
with 2.500 grapevines for each hectare and with an
average age of 15 years, installed in cretaceous and
clayey soil, where the production of grapes is of
100 q/ha.

VINIFICATION:
The harvest of the grapes is rigorously hand picked,
placing them in crates which are of the average
weight of 20 kilos, and within 2/3 hours of the
picking the grapes are separated from the stalks and
ready to be pressed. The grapes are processed with
oenological equipment which is respecting with
passion that our company has for tradition. The
fermentation takes place and the temperature is
electronically checked. The pressing occurs with a
soft press to 1 atm.
THE PROJECT OF QUALITY GLOBAL DU PONT
The agricultural company "Il Poggio" of Carmine
Fusco is very faithful to the Global Project of
Quality Du Pont for the guarantee of quality and
healthiness of the grapes and the wines, to which we
are associated, the integrated driven struggle with
the atmospheric monitoring of the conditions.
Our company has been selected among the first
one hundred companies in Italy with the necessary
requisite of quality to be able to access the P.Q.G.
It voluntarily adopts an self regulation in the use
of the anti parasitical products and in the
application of the techniques, and struggle to apply
them, in the full respect of the environment, to
produce wines in total absence of chemical residues.
The "Project Quality' Global" DuPont began in
1993; its objective is to safeguard the production
of the viticulture in the respect of the ecosystems
and the health of the operator, the consumer and the
producers of the wines that are directed to the
quality of the final product. |
